Ep 16: Building Success Through A Giving Mindset
Updated: Mar 16, 2021

“The reason I’ve been able to be so financially successful is my focus has never, ever for one minute been money”, Oprah Winfrey – Harpo
In this episode, we explore the unique power of giving and how it can open doors you never imagined. We also explore how the law of giving can be leveraged to move the conversation forward around systemic racism. To lead us in this conversation we brought on another one of our dope friends who truly embodies being a servant leader, Ryan Ray.
Prior to his role as CEO of Jobs for Life, Ryan led Triangle Entrepreneurial Leadership (TEL). He founded TEL in 2015 to create a safe haven for entrepreneurs to dream, to grow, and to lead their lives and businesses. Through TEL, Ryan has created a network of over 5,000 “learners” providing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual events serving hundreds of attendees. In addition to events, Ryan has mentored more than 30 small business owners in various stages of business. Ryan has also served as Business Relations Manager for Arks, Inc. (a church financing and construction firm), and as the Education Director of the Dunn Police Athletic League.
Now as President and CEO of Jobs for Life (JfL), Ryan continues his mission of changing lives and transforming communities. He believes that in order to build any successful institution, we must first build its people!
There are so many powerful and inspirational nuggets in the episode so grab your pen and paper and get ready to take notes!
